[Literature Series] History is a wheel

One can imagine the faces of ugliness that manifest itself as Greed and Envy

But can it really be handled with Rage and Anger?

It’s blasphemous to even think that we, mere peasants in the pursuit of gold,

Have a say in the matters of the disguised angels.

Alas, the concern holds no weight.

A headlong, direct bash against the concrete.

No matter how much you question this tactic, you must admit

When choices are limited, their motives hold merit.

Because even a rat, armed with hope in a pool of water and no chance of escape,

Will survive longer than the humans who put them there.

So now the question we must come to terms with.

How long can we continue to rage headfirst into a wall

Before we start losing our minds?

Will we get nullified before we start realising that

Our methods will only leave cracks in the wall.

Let us all be frank,

We will lose the battle and the war if we do not start thinking.

But as the saying goes,

“No one will teach you the knowledge to overthrow them”.

Such a shame

Unity is all but a façade

Shadowed by our own blind, selfish ambitions.

No one cares about you, we’ve learnt that the hard way.

So why are you still believing that others are the angels who will save you?
